Kevin Necessary Lands a Gig at the Enquirer

From the AAEC website.

On Friday afternoon Ohio cartoonist Kevin Necessary announced on Twitter he had been hired by the Cincinnati Enquirer.

“I’m grateful I’ve had the opportunity over the last several years to create local editorial cartoons in Cincinnati. This city was lucky to have Jim Borgman. I’m going to try to honor his legacy with these weekly cartoons in The Enquirer."

Necessary has been doing editorial cartoons and comics journalism for WCPO for a number of years, netting an Edward R. Murrow Award for the TV website in 2019 for his graphic reporting on an immigrant family.

He will be drawing illustrations for the city’s storied daily newspaper, and providing one editorial cartoon a week.
