The Karikatür Haber website has drawn attention to disturbing similarities between some cartoons that were rewarded at the
34th edition of the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition and works which have won prizes in the past.
Some likeness are quite blatant whereas others should be given the benefit of the doubt.

Not sure how you cartoon about a crisis in which overloaded ships repeatedly sink and people repeatedly drown if only the first person who thinks of it is allowed to draw an overloaded ship. These others are also fairly obvious concepts and it would be more astounding if only one person thought of them than if a couple of people did a few years apart. Judging plaigiarism in art has more to do with composition than concept.
