I’ve worked for the Washington Post since 2008 as an editorial cartoonist. 

I have had editorial feedback and productive conversations—and some differences—about cartoons I have submitted for publication, but in all that time I’ve never had a cartoon killed because of who or what I chose to aim my pen at. 

Until now.

Pedro Molina's fight for fair elections in Nicaragua

Nicaraguan political cartoonist Pedro X. Molina wants to see fair elections in his country. 

Living in exile in Ithaca, New York, Molina fled Nicaragua on Christmas Day 2018 during a government crackdown on the press. 

He's still drawing images against the government of Daniel Ortega, posting cartoons online in Confidencial, an independent media outlet in Nicaragua.

Molina joined The World's Carol Hills to talk about his work and the struggle for fair elections in Nicaragua.

Underground cartoonist Trina Robbins has done it all! She ran one of the hippest fashion boutiques in the East Village, mingled with rock stars and produced feminist art by putting together the first all-woman comics anthology in the 1970s.

Bob Robertson dead at 71

Veteran Canadian comedian Bob Robertson has passed away in Nanaimo, B.C., last Sunday.

Robertson and business partner, Linda Cullen, had been called the funniest married couple in Canada after spending decades in the entertainment business together.
