Patrick LaMontagne (Calgary Herald / Calgary Sun) and Gabrielle Drolet (The Globe and Mail) were the finalists.

Brian Gable of The Globe and Mail  and Michael de Adder (Halifax Chronicle Herald / Hill Times) were the finalists.

Michael de Adder wins National Newspaper Award 2020

Michael de Adder of the Halifax Chronicle Herald and Toronto Star was the winner in the Editorial Cartooning category at the 72nd edition of the National Newspaper Awards for the first time after being nominated previously. 

Graeme MacKay of the Hamilton Spectator and Bruce MacKinnon of the Halifax Chronicle Herald were the finalists.

Serge Chapleau wins National Newspaper Award 2019

Serge Chapleau of La Presse tied the record for lifetime wins when the 2019 National Newspaper Awards were announced yesterday. Chapleau won for the eighth time in the Editorial Cartooning category. Over the years Chapleau has been a finalist 15 times.

The other finalists were Brian Gable of the Globe and Mail and Bruce MacKinnon of the Halifax Chronicle Herald.

The Canadian Daily Newspaper Association announced tonight, in Toronto, the winners of the 70th National Newspaper Awards.

Michel Garneau won first prize in the Editorial cartoon category. The other finalists were Michael deAdder and Brian Gable.

Brian Gable wins 2016 National Newspaper Awards

Brian Gable, cartoonist for The Globe and Mail, won the 2016 National Newspaper Award in the editorial cartooning category.

David Parkins, also from The Globe and Mail, and Guy Badeaux (Bado) of Le Droit were the other finalists.
