New stamp series celebrates Canada's iconic graphic novelists (2)

Canada Post announces the issuance of a series of six stamps – the second of a diptych (the first was issued in 2024) – paying tribute to Canadian graphic novel authors: Kate Beaton, Jimmy Beaulieu, Guy Delisle, Julie Doucet, Bryan Lee O’Malley and Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas, in self-portraits reading one of their most famous books.

United States Postal Service’s 250 Anniversary stamps

In celebration of two and a half centuries of continuous service, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled last week two stamp releases at its headquarters building. 

The two stamp designs capture the essence of USPS, one features the first U. S. Postmaster General Ben Franklin.

The other highlights its ubiquitous presence in everyday life with a Chris Ware-designed 20 stamp pane.

New stamp series celebrates Canada's iconic graphic novelists

Canada Post unveiled yesterday a stamp issue celebrating Canada's graphic novelists. 

The set of four stamps features the works of Chester Brown, Michel Rabagliati, Seth, and cousins Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki – all of whom have made significant contributions to the genre and continue a long line of Canadian storytellers honoured by Canada Post.

Toronto Cartoon Art Festival 2024

The Toronto Reference Library will be hosting the Toronto Cartoon Art Festival next weekend.

This Saturday at TCAF Joe Ollmann will be interviewing Seth, Chris Oliveros and Brad Mackay about their new book “The Collected Doug Wright: Canada’s Master Cartoonist (1963-1980)” live and in-person at the Hinton Room of the Toronto Reference Library at 12 p.m.

The US Postal Service is celebrating the creator of "Peanuts"

The United States Postal Service will commemorate the 100th birthday of Charles Schulz with Forever stamps of his famous characters.

Ten different designs on each sheet of 20 stamps will feature the "Peanuts" gang, including Charlie Brown, Lucy, Franklin, Sally, Pigpen, Linus, Snoopy (with Woodstock), Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie.

Canada Post to pay tribute to five legendary editorial cartoonists



Canada Post will pay tribute to five legendary editorial cartoonists this week through a special stamp issue.

Over the next week, Canada Post will unveil five stamps that celebrate five of Canada'sgreatest editorial cartoonists, whose thought-provoking and seminal work has helped shape our national fabric over the last half-century. 

Videos and stories will be shared with each unveiling, with a special online roundtable discussion with the artists planned for Friday, October 8.

It demanded payment of $120.
