UPDATE

TCAF 2024 officially kicked off with a panel celebrating Canada Post's new stamp series—featuring the works of iconic Canadian graphic novelists Chester Brown, Michel Rabagliati, Seth and Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki.

"Seeing these stamps makes me feel that TCAF has helped change the perception around comics. That they have artistic and cultural value. And that they're for our heritage.

Because Canada, and Toronto in particular, is a comics powerhouse. We're home to so many wonderful and diverse storytellers and illustrators.

To see our medium recognized in this way shows how comics aren't just for kids—they're for connecting us."

—TCAF's outgoing Executive Director Miles Baker
