"Police Brutality" in the Billy Ireland Collection

From The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum blog.

David Seavey, USA Today.

In the coming days and weeks, we'll be sharing cartoons from recent and not-so-recent history that explore themes that are on everyone's mind right now: civil rights, police brutality, systemic racism, protests, rioting and more.
It has been enlightening and disturbing to comb through our databases and collect these, seeing how little has changed and revisiting horrors of the past.

“We could say he threatened us with a knife… If we had a knife!”  by Ollie Harrington, 196?, publication unknown. From the Ollie Harrington Collection and Papers.
