From his website.
I have just learned of the passing of celebrated Turkish cartoonist Musa Gümüş.
Born in Gaziantep in 1963, he has won a total of 275 awards from competitions both at home and abroad.
He graduated in Business Administration from Marmara University and drew in Hibir as well as in Bando and Nokta magazines.
In 1997, his work was exhibited in the cartoon exhibition "Neighbours" at the EU Parliament in Strasbourg.
In 2008, one of his cartoons was erected as a monument in the Freedom Square in Porto, Portugal.
His work has been exhibited in Tolentino, Italy, as well as in the European Cartoon Center-Kruishoutem in Belgium.
In sadness and admiration: A great cartoonist has passed.
