Martyn Turner began contributing cartoons to The Irish Times in the summer of 1971. Half a century later, he's still a satirical genius. 

Martyn Turner is at his drawing board, brush in left hand, inking an addendum to the Irish Times guide to common garden birds that satirises vulture-like law professionals, cuckoo funds and the recently chosen leader of the DUP.

"The Dog Show: Two Centuries of Canine Cartoons" at Ohio State

The Ohio State University Libraries presents The Dog Show: Two Centuries of Canine Cartoons, an exhibition curated by comics historian Brian Walker, features over one hundred different characters documenting the fascination that cartoonists have had with our furry friends. 

The Dog Show is on view June 19 through October 31, 2021. Admission is free.

AAEC cancels in-person convention in 2021

The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists has joined other cartoon festivals in dropping their plans for an in-person convention in 2021. 

The AAEC had been in talks with the Association of Canadian Cartoonists to meet in Ottawa later this year.
