2024 Eisner Award winners

From Comics Beat

The 2024 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards were presented at San Diego Comic-Con International on Friday, July 26 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.

Hosted by Phil LaMarr and Thomas Lennon, the ceremony awarded trophies to winners across 32 categories.

The general theme of the night seemed to be “paying it forward,” and multiple presenters and winners used stage time to compliment their peers and reflect on community.

Lore Olympus won best webcomic for the third consecutive year, making creator Rachel Smythe the first person to receive three back-to-back wins in the category.

Mariko Tamaki and Jillian Tamaki won in their respective categories for Roaming, which also won Best Graphic Album—New for a clean sweep of its three nominated categories.

Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers also won both of its nominations.

Penguin Random House won three trophies for the three categories celebrating books for non-adult readers.

Scott Dunbier accepted his ninth career win, not including his 2023 Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award.

The Comics Journal won its sixth total award for Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism.
